B6 Hands-On Fundamentals (3 days)

C-Series

C7 Hands-on Fundamentals: Voice/Data, Turn-up, and Troubleshooting (3 days)
This three-day course takes you through the Calix C7 provisioning for turning up basic networks, transport services, and deploying telephony and data services over copper and fiber facilities. The content is tuned to technicians that provision C7 services regularly and perform maintenance activities utilizing CMS and includes troubleshooting of common applications. C7 Network Fundamentals (1 day)
Learn the essential skills and procedures you need to turn-up access networks using the EXA (Ethernet eXtensible Architecture)-powered Calix C7 Multiservice Access Platform. The course focuses on system familiarization, basic service provisioning, network turn-up, configuring Ethernet transport using the RAP-10GE, configuring SONET transport, and network maintenance. C7 TDM Gateway Voice Services Training (1 day)
Learn how to configure the C7 as a voice gateway for Ethernet access networks. In this course you will learn how to configure the C7 TDM Gateway application including hands-on labs for configuring voice uplinks to Class 5 switches and configuring TDM to Voice over IP conversion. The TDM Gateway application is used to deliver voice service to subscribers connected to the E7 (GPON, AE, and VDSL), E3-12c, E5-100, and Ethernet fed C7 shelves.

C7 GPON Data Services (1 day)
Learn the essential skills and procedures you need to deploy FTTP services using the Calix C7. In this class you will learn how to provision data services for GPON subscribers including configuring Transparent LAN Service for businesses. During class you will also get hands-on experience using the Calix Management System (CMS) to configure and troubleshoot services. Full course description (pdf)

C7 Video Services (1 day)
This course provides an overview of switched video services available on the C7 and covers key provisioning steps to turn-up FTTP, ADSL, Bonded ADSL and VDSL subscribers. Students will get hands-on experience utilizing Calix equipment to provision video services. Prerequisite: Completion of three-day Hands-On Fundamentals class or equivalent knowledge. C7 xDSL Data Services (1 day)
Learn the essential skills and procedures you need to deploy xDSL services using the Calix C7 Multiservice Access Platform. In this class you will learn how to provision ADSL, Bonded ADSL, and VDSL data services using the Calix Management System (CMS). E7 Hands-On Fundamentals (1 day)
Learn the essential skills and procedures you need to deploy the new E7 Ethernet services platform. In this class you will provision protected Ethernet transport networks using ERPS and RSTP between E7-2 and E7-20 shelves. You'll also learn how to configure Ethernet aggregation with protected connections using RSTP and LAG. This course is available through our Virtual Classroom. Active Ethernet Services (1 day)
Learn the essential skills and procedures you need to deploy Active Ethernet services to subscribers using Calix 700-series ONTs and the E7 Ethernet Service Access Platform. In this class you will learn how to provision voice, video, data and T1/E1 pseudowire services for Active Ethernet subscribers using CMS. E7 Essentials: Configuring Ethernet Transport and Subscriber Services (4 days)
Learn the essential skills and procedures you need to deploy the Calix E7-2 and E7-20 Ethernet services access platforms. In this class you will provision protected Ethernet transport networks using ERPS and RSTP between E7 shelves. You'll also learn how to configure Ethernet aggregation with protected connections using RSTP and LAG. You will get hands-on experience activating voice, video, and data services for residential subscribers as well as Transparent LAN Service and T1 pseudowire service for business subscribers. You will configure services using GPON and Active Ethernet 700-series ONTs with CMS. E7 Essentials has the same course content as E7 Hands-On Fundamentals, E7 GPON Services, and Active Ethernet Services.
