Michael brings to Calix's board of directors extensive experience in advising and managing companies in the technology and telecommunications industries. Michael has served in a variety of capacities including group vice president, at ALLTEL Corporation, an integrated telecommunications provider of wireless, local telephone, long-distance, competitive local exchange, Internet, and high-speed data services. Michael serves on the Board of Directors at Airspan Networks, a publicly-traded company providing wireless broadband access equipment. He is a member of the board of directors and audit and compensation committees of Atlantic Tel-Networks, a publicly-held, diversified telecommunications services provider, and he is owner and president of Deli Planet Inc., a privately-held company. Michael previously served on the board of directors of WebEx Communications, Inc., Equity Media Holdings Corporation, and iLinc, each a publicly-held company, and GENBAND Inc., a privately-held company. Michael earned his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1970. He attended the Dartmouth Institute in 1986 and the Harvard Advanced Management Program in 1988.
